Melissa and Scott with Nichole Frank Photography

Willow Harbor Vineyard is CUTE! So are Melissa and Scott. So is shooting a wedding with my own wedding photographer!

I was thrilled to get to work with Niki this summer, like a little preview of my own wedding photography. She was a total blast like I knew she would be! Just check her out:

Here is my favorite photo of Melissa, falling victim to a majorly windy beach!

This vineyard doubles as a polo club, and the "groom room" had a polo theme. These adorable hooks, which previously had some polo stuff on them, made a great spot for the ring shot! Check it out!

Speaking of the "groom room", being a second photographer is always awesome for a few reasons, but most of all the groom getting ready shots! I never, ever see this when I'm busy with the bride! I love how laid back and fun guys are right before, no fussing with makeup and hair, just hanging out! Check out the first twenty images in the slideshow! A total blast!

Here are a few more favorites from the day!

About Me

My Photo
Amy Straka Waters
Michigan City, Indiana, United States
I'm Amy Straka Waters. I never formally studied photography, though it was my hobby throughout high school and college. I thought I'd end up in journalism. I though I wanted to write. Then I started carrying some stuff around for Monica Zibutis. I just thought I'd make a few extra bucks on a few Saturdays. In fact, I'd never even attended a wedding when I started working with Monica. She turned those few Saturdays into every day. She turned my hobby into a career. After my own wedding, this career means even more to me. Everytime I look at my wedding photos I can hear the cello, taste the wine, and relive the whole thing. Everyone I know and love was finally in one place. I'm blessed to have beautiful memories of that, and blessed again to see those memories illustrated. I am honored to do the same for others. I never bothered with that career in journalism. I have no interest in chasing big stories, only small ones. The intimacy and emotion of wedding and portrait photography enveloped me. I love it!
